Mr. S. Devarajan

Chairman and Managing Director

 

Born into a family of industrialists, Mr. S. Devarajan’s interests go far beyond the boundaries of trade and industry. As Chairman and MD of Sambandam Spinning Mills Ltd., he has steered the company to a lead position, offering exceptional services to its customers. He has also provided direction and momentum to the textile industry and to industry as a whole in various capacities, notably as Chairman of Confederation of Indian Industry, Salem District Council.

 

Mr. Devarajan’s social concerns have seen him play impactful roles in the fields of Education, Health and Philanthropy. His initiative, the S. Palaniandi Mudaliar Memorial Hospital, a five-storied multi-speciality hospital at Salem provides world-class medical care to thousands of patients. He is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Salem Mid-Town. Other educational institutions that have benefitted from his involvement are The Salem Polytechnic College, The Sengunthar Matriculation Higher Secondary School and The Government Women’s ITI, Salem. He has also been the trustee of the Salem Institute for Mentally Challenged (SIMEC) since its inception in 2000.

Mr. S. Dinakaran

Managing Director

 

Mr. S. Dinakaran acquired specialised skills in the textile industry through his father who had established three Spinning Mills in India. This robust foundation preceded his debut as a successful entrepreneur. Mr.S.Dinakaran is the Managing Director of Sambandam Siva Textiles Private Limited and Joint Managing Director of Sambandam Spinning Mills Limited. As a regular international traveller he is up-to-date with the latest technologies in the industry. Along with such knowledge, his expertise in cotton and yarn trade has made him a household name in industry circles.


Deeply committed to the development of the textile industry, he has held pivotal positions in several industry related bodies, such as, Chairman of Southern India Mills’ Association (SIMA), Member of the Council of Administration of The Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council (TEXPROCIL), Committee Member of Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI), New Delhi, Member of the Council of Administration in The South India Textile Research Association (SITRA) Coimbatore and Chairman of the Salem Chapter of The Textile Association of India.


Like his other family members he too is deeply involved in championing social, educational and philanthropic causes. He is a Trustee of S. Palaniandi Mudaliar Charitable Trust which operates a hundred bedded Multi Specialty Hospital in Salem. and Executive Committee Member of Sengunthar Educational Trust which runs The Salem Polytechnic College and Sengunthar Matriculation Hr. Secondary School, Salem.

Mr. S. Jegarajan

Joint Managing Director

 

Mr. S. Jegarajan is the Joint Managing Director of Sambandam Spinning Mills Limited. Belonging to a family with strong roots in the industry and with over four decades of hands-on experience in textile manufacture and trade, he is a wellspring of knowledge and expertise.

 

Besides, he is a Director in SPMM Health Care Services Private Limited and divides his time as director in several textile related companies.

 

He is a trustee of the S.Palaniandi Mudaliar Charitable Trust which operates a hundred bedded Multi Specialty Hospital in Salem.

Mr. D. Sudharsan

Director

 

Mr.D. Sudharsan is the Director of Sambandam Spinning Mills Limited, Joint Managing Director of Sambandam Siva Textiles Private Limited as well as Director of SPMM Health Care Services Private Limited.

 

Belonging to a family of industrialists, Mr.D.Sudharsan had his early technical education in Salem and thereafter went on to join the textile industry. He has over three decades of deep and varied experience in the field of textile manufacturing and trading.

Mr. J. Sakthivel

Director – Technical

 

With a B.Tech. in Textile Technology from the Bapuji Institute of Engineering & Technology, Karnataka, M.Sc.in International Marketing from United Kingdom, M.B.A. from the Indian Institute of Business Management Delhi, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Indian Institute of Business Management Delhi, Mr. Sakthivel is the Director(Technical) of Sambandam Spinning Mills Limited.


His prior assignments were as General Manager(Technical), Chief Technical Officer and Head of Quality Assurance and Research & Development at Sambandam Spinning Mills Limited.


Also, since 2020-21, he is the Chair of the Salem Chapter of Young Indians, a youth initiative of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). He is also an active core team member of Young Indians’ Salem Chapter.

Mr. D. Niranjankumar

Director – Marketing

 

Mr.D.Niranjankumar is the Director-Marketing of Sambandam Spinning Mills. His niche is product development and value addition product development in which capacity he heads a young and creative team of twenty. He also takes care of manufacturing and support systems such as stores and labour management. He has been an active committee member of SIMA (Southern India Mills’ Association) from September 2021. He is also a member in the executive committee of Textile Skill Sector.


With a brilliant academic career that includes a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Chennai, Diploma in Human Resource Management from Chennai and an M.B.A in Marketing and Finance from the United Kingdom, he’s the perfect fit for his role as Director-Marketing
